Day 3 of the BHM Book Fair. Author, poets, and literary leaders showcased by the BAN and the Sankofa Literary Society. Discussing business, politcs, and entertainment legends. One comment that stood out to me through this show was that Blacks owned slaves. I wonder did they treat their slaves the way White slaveowners were said to have, with raping Black women slaves, beating up/whipping runaway slaves, and giving them scraps for food. I heard that African royalty sold their own people, which makes me shake my head. However, I wonder did African slaveowners treat their slaves more like indentured servants.

Author, poets, and literary leaders showcased by the Black Author Network and the Sankofa Literary Society. Frederick Douglass: I loved the speech about the 4th of July. Harriet Tubman: I'm glad somebody mentioned her. I did in the chatroom, but "The Story of Harriet Tubman: Freedom Train" was one phenomenal book. I didn't hear the quote about slavery in there though. In the book I read, there was a massive amount of slaves debating about whose slaveowner was rest, trying to escape, and talking about the injustice they endured everyday.
