It's the KLuv show this week: Korean pop, Korean dramas (and how they differ from Japanese dramas), Eat Your Kimchi... oh and then there's some game talk in there too! Dana (and her mom) played some 3DS and went to the Nintendo World Store, Katy bought Plants vs. Zombies again and continues to love Dynasty Warriors 7. Meanwhile, I played through Portal 2... but can't say anything about it.

It's a fairly dull time for games here in early Spring. Katy's got her Dynasty Warriors 7, I've got Fallout: New Vegas, Dana has Wizard 101, and Maxx is engulfed in RIFT when he's not working crazy hours. So there wasn't a whole lot to talk about this week but I wanted to do something for you all. And that something became a fairly Nintendownload-esque reading of this past week's ESRB rating submissions. I explain myself in this 40 minute short-show, discover some intriguing new games I didn't know about, and wrap it up with a freakin' awesome jazz rendition of the Phoenix Wright theme. I realize having just typed that sentence that you might think I performed it myself, live on the air. I really just stuck an mp3 from this album on the end. Still, it's so good!

Two Worlds II
Playing Kinect Adventures online
Hydro Thunder Hurricane

It's runny noses, clinking tea-stirring spoons, coughs and awkward edits this week as half of The GameLuv Show is sick and another 25% of it just might be. Maxx, on the other hand, got a crazy Razer Naga mouse. All sniffles aside there's some good talk on this return show that covers old and new alike, including:

Mass Effect 1 and 2 (yes, again!)
Catherine demo
Gal Gun demo

Our electric light parade starts out vibrant and loud this week but quickly runs out of steam. Eh, it's a short show anyhow as Katy and I prepare to run off on another Walt Disney World vacation! Dana joins us (but Maxx was asleep) so we kind of ramble on about a lot of loosely game-related stuff like hanging out with kids and games we used to play around the neighborhood. Oh and also this stuff:

The Darkness (yes, the 4 year old one)
Minecraft
Persona 4/PSP/Catherine
Disney Quest
Cityville
Killing World of Warcraft

P.S. Sorry Maxx......

The site's back, Shawn has Friday off work and Dana's been drinking coffee again. These things collide to bring you a pretty insane episode of The GameLuv Show (number 60-something-ish). We're all digging Minecraft right now -- wow, what a terrible pun -- but there's so much more for you folks who don't like the block-stacking simulator.

We may have had some Skype-related audio issues or we may have all just periodically given away our dark Cylon secret. We apologize, but there's some really good stuff in here... as long as you like games from 6 months ago. A great flux in space and time sent Katy and I back to old stuff but Dana and Maxx keep it fresh and topical this week. Also, there's loads of tangents that shoot off with all the subtle nuance of bone spurs! Grab your Q-Tips and sandpaper because The GameLuv Show is here!

Auritech stops by, fresh from PAX, to tell us about the show and a whole, whole bunch of games he saw and played. Dana tells the tale of a cataclysmic pre-Cataclysm World of Warcraft experience. Everybody but me noshes on the addictive brains of Plants vs. Zombies for both the iPad and Xbox Live Arcade and I am still playing Nier!

We're back after an unexpected week of "roughing it" without internet access! But not even Time Warner Cable can quiet our voices and we prove it with this lengthy discussion about Scott Pilgrim, Instant Jam, Mafia 2, Frontierville, Persona 3 and more with unscheduled departures into Harvest Moon madness and iOS games. Here's the tenuously threaded blow-by-blow:

Burn Zombies Burn (Steam)
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game
Persona 3
Instant Jam on Facebook
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility and a whole discussion of the series
Endless Ocean: Blue World and the Classic Controller Pro
Frontierville
Starcraft 2
Mafia 2 demo
GeoDefense and Cobra Command on the App Store

We didn't play a whole lot in the last week so we spend most of this show talking about the highs, the lows, and everything in between from E3 2010 so far!

* "goes to" implies virtual attendance by way of many, many live streams and blog posts.

After a few weeks off (Katy and Shawn are married now!!) we return with some technical difficulties after I had to reformat my PC and get the recording setup fine-tuned. I think it's sounding ok but a new process is definitely in order!

As for games, we hit all the white-hot new releases including WET, Fable 2, Deadly Creatures, Bayonetta, Tomena Sanner, Torchlight and more. Oh, and Maxx talks about Bioshock 2, Katy's got Miriel the Magical Merchand and Chad announces his '5 Game Backlog Challenge'!

This episode's so outta control the cops threaten to shut us down, TWICE! Some site news up front and then it's all about da games! Katy takes us to Sally's Salon, catches us up on Dragon Age: Origins and Katamari Forever before she and I fall all over Rabbids Go Home, the best Rabbids game ever!

Maxx has been catching up on some 2009 releases with The Beatles Rock Band, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and The Ballad of Gay Tony while scamming Forza 3 for credits. I finally bought Castlevania the Adventure ReBirth, really got into Guitar Hero 5, finished up Afrika and the Dark Void demo, and even tried out Nostalgia, an honest-to-the-Emperor JRPG for the DS!

We close out with some chit chat and more indecisive inklings towards Mass Effect before the PO-LEECE shut us dooooooown! But only until next time because we all have really thin wrists! HA HA! podcast@gameluv.com is the address, talk to us yo!

A whole year of gaming in just over an hour? Is it possible? Can your ears handle such rapid fire game love (hey! what!?) without bursting straight out of your skull!? I hope so because you'd probably stop listening to our show... ya know, if you only had bleeding holes where your ears used to be. ... Anyways! It's a great show this week as we recap the best, most surprising, and play-worthy games of 2009 (including some older games we only played in '09) along with a few real disappointments. Bonus points to Katy for throwing in a last minute query on what games of '09 we didn't get to play and desperately want to!

Maybe it's all the Pump it Up I've been playing or that my game time has dwindled to seemingly minutes each week but I've been getting into Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour. I'm ready to splurge on new (old) instruments and DLC songs while everyone has been busy playing Ikaruga, Virtua Fighter 5, MySims, and Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires.

Some of us have decidedly non-gaming plans for Easter Sunday this week so your PodShot is here onSaturday. There's talk of Crysis, Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ, the completion of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, Earth Defense Force (in the year 2017), Gardening Mama, and a whole buttload of other Nintendo DS games. Also, check out Raptr.com because the gamers' social media site has been busy adding even more old school games and new features!
