It is easy for me to make my life hard. When I remind myself to make my life easy, it is much more fun.

Hear an example or two about how I make my life easy. Then, remind yourself to make your life easy.

This episode explains that when I feel thankful, I am feeling relaxed, and not worried. It talks about the things that make me feel thankful--nature, people, pets, warm baths and more. Feeling thankful is a way for me to understand that I am not alone, a way for me to feel better right away, even when life is getting me down.

This is a different way of saying "I feel good." In this way, I use these feel good words as a mantra, a chant that resonates throughout my body. When I chant "I feel good," i am strongly sending my body and mind a message that I wish to banish any thoughts that are making me feel bad. The mantra is a way for me to close out negative thoughts. Perhaps you will find it useful too.

This is an explanation for why I wrote the affirmation, "I enjoy learning," in my book "I Feel Good!" and Other Words that Make Me Happy.

I explain that I originally wrote these words because I was having a hard time learning some of the things that I needed to know for work. It was hard for me to sit down and study when I didn't understand, when I had trouble doing the problem. I was studying a way to make a computer program work, and I was having a hard time, getting frustrated, and stopping.

I talk about how I may not enjoy studying, but I do enjoy learning. I talk about what learning does for me, how it makes my life more interesting.

You can listen to One Hundred Monsters (Version 1) and One Hundred Monsters (Version 2.) Listen for the differences between the two stories. I learned that there was more than one right way to write this story, so both were published. Which do you like better?

This is an explanation for why I wrote the affirmation, "I help people think," in my book "I Feel Good!" and Other Words that Make Me Happy. I explain how by just listening to someone, I can help them work at a problem. I explain why I can ask a question that puts a difficult problem into perspective. I explain how Karrit and Suzy (in the Monster On Top of the Bed, a story that you can listen to in this talkcast) help each other to rethink issues, just by being a friend.

I explain how the perspective people bring to table helps my friends and family and businespeople to think. I talk abou why it is important to me that people help me think, and it is important for me to know that I, also, help people to think clearly.

This is an explanation for why I wrote the affirmation, "I help people share." I discuss the importance of sharing for me when I'm proud of an accomplishment, when everything seems to be going wrong and when everything seems to be going right. I talk about what happens when I do not share. I talk about sharing the sense of celebration for the 4th of July and I talk why I believe people benefit from sharing with me. It strikes me as I write this description, that I am sharing by creating this episode. If you find something of value within it, perhaps you will share your feelings or thoughts with us. Yes, I help people share.

This is an explanation of the affirmation for July 3rd. In it I explain why I wrote this affirmation. I discuss the construction noise that is going on outside as I record the affirmation--pointing out that it is actually a gift--because I have to relax to make the recording.

There is a character in my stories named Max. Max was fat, really fat, and I picture him needing this affirmation.

Every character in my stories has something to do with me. I've been a healthy weight for a long time, but when I was young I was so heavy that I had to wear extra-husky pants. As I recorded this explanation of the affirmation, I remembered those days. I remembered being picked on. I remembered how worried I was about being picked on. I remembered, and I realized that when I was relaxed, things were much easier.

You may wish to listen to the affirmation separately. You do not need to listen to this explanation to use the affirmations.

The rainbow party is a story about painting, and colors. It is a work-in-progress, which means that it is likely to change.

This recording was made live, without editing. The idea is to contrast it with the other, polished stories.

I want to show children that everything is not perfect right away. That's one reason why I did the recording live, and did not edit out the mistakes that I made as I read the story.

It takes a fair amount of courage to share a story like this. I would really like your opinion. When you are done hearing the story, please feel free to call (214) 615-6044 ext 3847 and let me know what you think. Or, send me an email to ahjordan@gmail.com.

Thanks,
