Parental alienation is the mental manipulation of children, which can result in destroying a loving and warm relationship they once shared with a parent. Parental Alienation can occur in intact families, but is mostly seen in separated and divorced families.
It will most likely occur during divorce, custody hearings, upon remarriage of a parent, or most commonly during primary contact with the children. The effect is to produce a disturbance in the child's relationship with the other parent.

Targeted parent's are always searching for ways to reconnect or just to connect with our alienated children.
As a targeted mother of three severely alienated children, I have had to be very resourceful with making a connection with my teenage daughters, considering two phone calls per week is all we have. I have to say it changes often and has been a very emotionaly charged roller coaster ride. Last night I found a way to connect with them that just so happens to be a popular game for kids right now. Coke or Pepsi? It just might be the perfect way for anyone who is alienated from their children to make a connection. This week has been a strange week for many parent's feeling like there is no end or hope in sight. Maybe it's the change in season as we are fast approaching the holidays and for all targeted parent's that is the hardest time of the year. Please join us tonight to learn some new important ways on reconnecting with your children and what we can do for ourselves to stay strong and hopeful.

HOPE, BALANCE AND SERENITY! What we all strive for. Please join us with Carol J. Cirocco, MSW, LICSW and Four Winds Center for Wellness, Inc as we focus on how we as parent's alienated from our children can find hope in healing. Four Winds Center is an outpatient mental health clinic that provides an array of services to individuals and families. At Four Winds Center for Wellness, Inc they are concerned, not only with the alleviation of symptoms, but with healing, wholeness and well-being. Their treatment philosophy is based on a model that identifies and emphasizes strengths, with special emphasis on the importance and inclusion of family. They use the understanding of the body/mind to help individuals connect the cognitive and the emotional for a truly restorative experience. This approach breaks the traditional paradigm and provides a unique, personal and innovative way to find healing from past trauma.
They know that divorce and custody issues are difficult for all involved, especially for children, who loving both parents, cannot help but have divided loyalties. Whether intentional or unintentional, alienation by one parent against the other causes devastating results for these, the most vulnerable casualties of divorce. They provide assessments and help for individuals who find they are victims of this phenomenon.

Two mother's Julia and Charity on opposite ends of the US. Their not related, yet their stories are so similar. Both women are adults who were alienated as children and are currently alienated from their children by their mother's. Target parent's experience so much pain as it is, but to be alienated from their children by their mother's only adds to the pain. You not only suffer the angusish and the loss of not being with your children, but mourn the loss of your mother, someone you should be able to trust and lean on in a time of need. Both alienating mother's, alienated Julia and Charity from their fathers and are now living out the same experience their father's once lived. This goes to show that parental alienation comes in many forms and is often a pattern of behavior, repeated time after time.

Bill founded Billsarena.com at the age of 14. He launched his website on April 9 2006, totally built on his own. He has testified to three legislative committees in Georgia and actually had some of his suggestions built into HB369 (shared parenting bill) that was put into law in Georgia. He ran the first and largest Family Law Reform Rally by a minor in US History, the second largest by anyone of any age. He has served as a Page in the Georgia Legislature and this past summer as a Page for the US House of Representatives, all before his 17th birthday. He is a good student and active in his High School Band in Marietta, Ga. He has appeared in People Magazine, Fox Television, 2 feature articles in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, 2 Features in the Marietta Daily Journal and countless newspapers and radio shows around the US and Canada. Bill now 17 wants to get the word out about PAS, what it does to kids, how he experienced it and experiences people have emailed him about. He truly is a voice for the thousands of kids forced to be silent.
You don't want to miss this show! Bill may only be 17 but we all know without kids like him speaking up about the effects of parental alienation on kids, no one will ever know what it does to our children.

Dr. Major has 25 years of experience in counseling parents who are experiencing difficulties in their families. She is the author of Breakthrough Parenting: Moving Your Family from Struggle to Cooperation and the founder of Breakthrough Parenting Services, Inc. She has specialized in parent education and has taught over 21,000 parents optimal parenting skills. She further specializes in divorce and child custody disputes and issues of parent alienation.
The Tragic Result will be the focus of our show. As Dr. Major states Severe cases of parental alienation have the characteristics of being complicated in two ways. Combative parents duel with conflicting stories of "he said / she said," and make it very difficult to determine who is telling the truth. Brainwashed children often support the side of the offending parent with dramatic stories of how they have been abused by the target parent. As target parents argue their position, they often seem defensive even when they are telling the truth. Programmed children lose their own sense of reason and their ability to express their own choice in the matter. If the alienator is not contained, these manipulations of the childâ??s mind become the incubator of their own future psychological problems. These children have an altered perception of reality that is not in their best interest or in the best interest of society.

It's being called the ultimate form of child abuse -- brainwashing your children against an ex-spouse to win custody.
19-year-old Demi joins the Dr. Phil show Friday October 3, 2008 via Web cam and says her father verbally abused her mother during their divorce. Now,
her 15-year-old sister is caught in the middle and is currently alieanted from her and her mother Mel.
Demi has no relationship with her father because of the abuse he invokes on her little sister, and what he did to her.
She just wants life to be normal. Mel has not seen her 15 year old since 11/11/07, nor has she spoken with her. Mel is strong and refuses to give up on her daughter or to be silent about the abuse her daughters have endured.
Demi has decided she wants to be the voice for children her age who are victims of parental alienation, who cannot speak for themselves or that might not know this is whats happening.
The Author of Unlawful Flight Glen Shultz and his daughter will also be joining in tonight's show.

Larry Shapiro will share his knowledge and experience with Parental Alienation. He will read a speech written for the DC Festival 2008 in which was not heard due to scheduling problems in DC. Title IV-D and how it leads to Parental Alienation. We often wonder about the issues encompassing Parental Alienation and the driving force behind why so many courts and a broken system fail our families and continue to allow a crime like parental aliention to continue on without great concern. Most people do not realize there is much more behind how Parental Alienation is allowed to have gotten so out of hand. This is why many refuse to acknowledge the need for reform for a broken system that is designed to work only for the benefit of our Governement and Family Courts. Often many say "follow the money" and you will find the real evil behind this dirty little secret known as Parental Alienation.

Dr. Reena Sommers- Why would a child accuse a parent of sexual abuse when it NEVER even happened? Perhaps it's because an allegation of sexual abuse against a parent (or step-parent) makes it almost a sure thing that the other parent will get sole custody - In fact, a
false allegation of sexual abuse made by a child of a parent is a common and very serious manifestation of the PAS.

This Show will be a recap of the DC FESTIVAL 2008 National Civil Rights Event.
What a wonderful event! DC brought back strength and courage to many who are fighting for the right to be a parent.
Parental Alienation is a crime of child abuse and DC was the start for many to stand up and speak up. It is time to take back our motherhood and fatherhood.
This was the start of something wonderful for all of us who have suffered in silence.

Kathleen Dearinger a mother who is fighting CPS she is now facing the possibility of going to jail. FOR WHAT? For speaking out about the abuse she and her daughter have faced at the hands of a broken system. The most natural bond is between a parent and child. It is the building block of our communities and our world. Today that bond is being torn apart, and at the hand of a system out of control. The rights of parents to the care, custody and nurture of her children is of such character that it cannot be denied without violating those fundamental principles of liberty and justice which lie at the base of all our civil rights and political institutions, and such right is a fundamental right protected by 5, 9, & 14
WE MUST COMPEL OUR GOVERNMENT TO TAKE ACTION NOW AGAINST THE DESTRUCTION OF INNOCENT FAMILIES AND CHILDREN!

Dr. Reena Sommers-
Why would a child accuse a parent of sexual abuse when it NEVER even happened?
Perhaps it's because an allegation of sexual abuse against a parent (or step-parent) makes it almost a sure thing that the other parent will get sole custody - In fact, a false allegation of sexual abuse made by a child of a parent is a common and very serious manifestation of the PAS.

As a Targeted parent and recently going to court the battles we face can sometimes seem bigger than we could ever handle. As we all know there is nothing simple about parental alienation. Attempting to get our courts attention in preventing PA or making it stop is of course what we hope for.
How we do it, is different for everyone who is a targeted parent.
Our guest tonight are targeted parents. The recent outcomes of court hearings good and bad. What real people are doing to stop their children from being denied the other half of who they are. How do you make the court see what is happening? Is the court really willing to see it and stop it for the sake of our children?

Matt Orlando is an adult child of parental alienation who is now is experiencing it all over again with his own daughter.
Please join us as he shares his own experiences from a childs point of view. Now an adult, he still longs to
have a relationship with his father. The years of alienation and the effects are still very real. Matt is very involved
in making efforts for a change, and hopes that his story will help someone out there that isn't sure what will make a difference for their child. As we all know, there isn't anyone or anything that can give a child back the time lost with their other parent and family members. It is the little things along the way that really do make a difference as Matt will share with us. He didn't get the little things along the way and looking back they would have mattered the most.

Joshua L. Douglass. Married and the father of 3 beautiful young girls and a handsome son. They were members of Victory Baptist Church in Plant city Fl, where he was to begin a children's church ministry and a bus ministry. He had to step down from that position before ever starting due to unbelievable charges that have changed he and his family lives forever.
He would like to share with you his story and his fight for justice.
This fathers cause is not to degrade our state or government officers. There are some children who do need help. However, his children adore their parents and are truly suffering from this injustice. This is one of the most incredible stories of injustice we will ever hear. He would wade through hell to fight a circle saw for his family and children, wouldn't you? But he will not lose his children over this abomination and injustice!!! They have been called a cult for calling his Pastor and friends, "brother" and "sister." This is, an assault on the spirit and faith of his family and pther families everywhere. I urge everyone to attend.
This can happen to anyone at anytime as Joshua will share with us.
Psalm 46:1 God is our Refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
