This Friday, August 1, Ron Morris fills in for the Afternoon Drive Time slot (3 PM - 6 PM) on AM News Talk 1360 (WPTT). There will be plenty of great discussion on a variety of topics and issues.

First, we'll take a high-level look at the health care industry. While regular TAE listeners know that our friends Tom Grealish and Tom Philbin from Henderson Brothers frequently have us covered when it comes to what business owners and entrepreneurs can do in terms of managing the costs of health care, this Friday, we'll look at some of the policy initiatives that are in place regarding the consumer side of the issue.

Joining us to discuss some of the critical health care policy issues on both a federal and a state level will be Greg D'Angelo, a policy analyst with The Heritage Foundation, a Washington D.C. based policy analysis organization that serves a number of levels. Health care is Greg's specialty, and he'll talk about what has gone right, what has gone wrong, and what needs to be addressed when it comes to ensuring that the health of the general population is controlled by, get this, the general population. (Crazy idea, huh?) Greg will also address the impact of Health Savings Accounts (HSA's) as a critical step towards this goal.

Also, we'll talk with Joe Grata of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette about what's going on with the roadways in Western Pennsylvania. For years, longtime residents recognize summer as "construction season", and this summer is no different, as it seems there are cones and markers and signs everywhere you look. Joe will break down what it all means for PA drivers, and what impact the rising cost of gas is having on our ability to get out and about.

Plus, we'll feature an interview with Steve LeVine, a writer for Business Week, who has previously written for the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, and the New York Times, among other publications. His "beat" is a combination of foreign oil and energy policy, as well as European politics, and he tackles the latter in his new book, "Putin's Labyrinth: Spies, Murder, and the Dark Heart of the New Russia". In the book, Steve paints a picture of Russia under the rule of current Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, a picture that is far from rosy, as Steve details the seedy underbelly of Putin's administration. Steve will talk to Ron about his book, and the impact that its contents have on American foreign policy.

All this plus plenty of time for open talk. You won't want to miss a second of it. Again, we'll be on from 3 PM - 6 PM on AM News Talk 1360. And, as always, we'll also be simulcasting the show via interactive podcast on TalkShoe.

Don't miss it!
