Iodine is an essential element of the body. It is used by
the thyroid to create thyroid hormones, the breast -
concentrating in the milk for the nursing infant, the
prostate, adrenals, ovaries, salivary gland and more.
Every gland and mucosal lining uses iodine.

Lack of Iodine in the thyroid is one of the reasons for goiter (enlargement of the gland). If left deficient the possibility of thyroid cancer increases as the peroxide reaction increases burning the inside of the cells. This condition may also result in an autoimmune thyroid condition such as Graves (hyper) and Hashimotos (hypo). When adequate amounts of iodine are supplied to the thyroid, iodolipids are created which control the oxidation process in the cell and stop the cell from over producing and "burning" out.

My name is Janie. I am the daughter of a hyperthyroid mother who had her thyroid removed at age 22. I thought nothing of it when it came to me. I was young, healthy and invincible!

But looking back, something fishy was going on after the birth of my second child, when I was 27 years old. When nursing, I had 8 illnesses in nine months of nursing, culminating with pneumonia. The same chronic illness scenario occurred 2 years later after the birth of my third child.

Join us on the call to learn how Janie found her answers to her own thyroid condition!

Raymond Francis, founder of Beyond Health, has been called "one the few scientists to achieve a breakthrough understanding of health and disease." Forced to save his own life over two decades ago, Raymond has created a revolutionary model of health that has enabled people around the world to do miracles. Why miracles? Because it addresses the causes of disease rather than treating its symptoms. When you address the causes, problems disappear. This model is as profound as it is SIMPLE. There is only ONE DISEASE and only TWO CAUSES of disease.

Such cases strongly suggest that the female hormone progesterone protects against autoimmune disorders caused by excessive estrogens." Dr. John Lee

Atherogenesis is the underlying cause of not only coronary artery disease but of arterial disease throughout the body. It is seen as cholesterol plaque within arteries, and we call it atherosclerosis. Female sex hormones exert a protective effect against atherosclerosis. Women prior to menopause are at a much lower risk (ratio 1:10) of cardiovascular disease than men of the same age. After menopause, a woman's cardiovascular disease risk increases until it becomes the main cause of death by about age 60. Total mortality from cardiovascular disease in women eventually almost equals that of men. To understand how this happens, it is important to understand atherogenesis.
